More British shoppers than ever ordered goods and services online in the run-up to Christmas 2007, a consultancy firm has found.
Retail sales in the October-December period soared by 58% - with electronics and clothing doing particularly well, Capgemini said.
Total UK online sales in the three months were £15.2bn, compared to £9.6bn in the comparable time in 2006.
Over the whole year, 15 pence in every pound spent by UK consumers was spent online.
