Online sales continue to grow
The economy at large may be reeling from the worldwide 'credit crunch' but internet retailers are still reporting very good business, recent analysis suggests.
A study by Verdict Research says online consumer sales in the UK rose by 35% last year to £14.7 billion.
Verdict said growth of net access and consumers gaining confidence to make more numerous and more expensive net purchases, was behind the increase. They predict British consumers will spend nearly £45 billion online by 2012 - about one-seventh of all purchases.
