WWT - Strategic Web Planning & Online Marketing

Web Planning | Strategic Marketing Consultancy

Working with Tickbox has been a huge benefit to WWT. They have enabled us to take our website strategy forward by providing us with the tools to find out exactly how our website can meet the needs of the whole organisation and how we can deliver measurable results.

We are now able to redesign the structure and content of our website to ensure we meet the key objectives that have been revealed through our planning work with TIckbox.

The Brief

Tickbox were commissioned by national conservation charity WWT to plan the redevelopment of their main website.

We were tasked with creating detailed information architecture and content plans and a technical specification for the site.

We provided strategic consultancy on the charity's online marketing plan and social media training for head office staff, including a workshop for the 9 WWT UK centres.

Our Work

This was a detailed and complex consultancy project involving staff from across all departments and all nine regional wetland centres.

Our work included analyis and responses to the WWT online marketing plan to ensure the development of the new site fully supported the key strategic aims of the charity.

Our consultation with staff helped us define the key marketing aims of all parts of the organisation, as well as an understanding of how the site could directly support the work of all parts of the organisation.

We also throughly analysed user behaviour and engagement with the existing site and carried out card-sorting exercises, content analysis and heuristic evaluation to define appropriate user engagement approaches.

The Result

We delivered a full information architecture blueprint and wireframe for the new site, including technical specifications and detailed content planning.

We also produced a report identifying how the proposed redevelopment would support the key aims of the charity.

Providing not only the technical planning of the site, but also working directly with all stakeholders on a detailed online marketing strategy for the site we were able to get full support for the new website project from across the organisation.
